Who We Are
Miss McDonough
Dear Parents/Guardians,
My name is Deanna McDonough and I am very excited and blessed to be your student’s new teacher. I am excited to continue teaching at Archway Lincoln. I have two years of teaching experience prior to join the GreatHearts team and one year of teaching at GreatHearts. I am a graduate of Arizona State University with my Bachelor’s Degree in Elementary Education. I am currently seeking my Master’s Degree in Education specializing in Reading at University of Mary.
My family is an important part of my life. My mother and father have three children. I am the eldest and proud older sister of two younger brothers. Stephen is an English Major who graduated from ASU. Michael is a Marine Biology and Biology Major at NSU in Florida.
I believe that a good parent-teacher relationship is necessary for maximum school success. Throughout the year, you will receive communications. I encourage you to contact me through email or a written note to schedule an appointment for any questions or concerns you may have. If you, as parents/guardians, have any information you would like to share with me to help me get to know your scholar, please do. This information could range from allergies to your scholar’s favorite sports. As a team, we will work together for your student’s education.
In closing, I would just like to say that I am looking forward to a great year working with you and your child! Thank you in advance for your concern and support throughout the year!
Sincerely,
Miss McDonough
Miss Peace
Greetings Parents and students,
My name is Marissa Peace and I will be working with Ms. McDonough as a 1st grade teacher assistant this upcoming year. I graduated from Berry College in Rome, Georgia with a Bachelor of Arts in philosophy in 2015. Last year, I worked at Archway Lincoln as a 1st grade Teacher Assistant and paraprofessional. I established trust, along with, a firm rapport with my students and was involved with other grade levels in the Athenaeum program, study club, morning club, and board game club. The opportunity to develop confidence and independence in the classroom setting remains one of my aspirations as I recognize that children have a heart for learning and thrive with order. My own passion and experience with a liberal arts education characterizes my zeal for shaping the minds and souls of students. Outside of work, I enjoy dancing, aviation, pilates, outdoor activities, and photography. Thank you so much for the opportunity to work with your child.
